Meghan Markle of the show Suits, sat down for a little primping before she looked through all of our goodies and before attending the Venus and Fur Broadway Musical. We gave Meghan a slight curl with our Babyliss Pro  Nano Titanium 2 inch Curling Iron before her day on Broadway. We showed Meghan all of our great merchandise. She looked awesome in this simple Cotton Bobi graduated hem maxi dress and she fell in love with our Vismaya scarves choosing this multi-colored one that works with any spring outfit. We also made sure Meghan took home a DDF Revolve, and the DDF Advanced Eye Firming Concentrate to keep those beautiful eyes bright. She was a really nice girl and a lot of fun to work with. We wish her the best and can’t wait to catch Suits‘ new season coming this fall!

Up, Up, and Away!! Fun Ways To Beat The Heat!

June 1, 2012 By Adreanna Jones

As you gear up for your summer plans, keep in mind these helpful hints that will surely keep you in fashion’s good graces. Before anything, make sure you go and get yourself an awesomely renovated Caboodle Traincase. It will transport all of your summer necessities from point A to point B in style. The summer sun brings many things, one obviously being the HEAT! But as girls of fashion we aim to be as cute as possible despite the unpredictable elements. There are so many fun options when it comes to summer hair and makeup. First things first, lay off the foundation and pick up that bronzer! Lay off the neutrals, and pick up those neons! Summer is all about glowing in the sun! Yes, those rays can be harmful, but as long as you have your DDF skincare regimen underway you will avoid any and all facial flaws. DDF has an amzing sunscreen called the Weightless Defence Oil-Free Hydrator, which has an SPF 45 paired with the Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer preparing you for a day in the sun. Both can be worn under your makeup, so you are fully covered and protected from those horrible aging effects the sun is famous for. The DDF Revolve is another must-have! It will remove any and all dead skin from sun-bathing. When deciding your look for the day, there is one major thing to take into account: Eyes or lips? You must pick!  As young women we learn less is more.. Nothing has changed! A face full of makeup screams clown not classy. We alllike to have a little fun, but don’t go overboard! The bright colors are so appealing, but can also be blinding. You must decide where you want the focus to be. Makeup is all about enhancing your features, not exploiting them. Pinks, oranges and bright reds are crazy this season for the lips, so be bold and go for it! Make Up Forever has some awesome bright colors that will literally last all day! So check them out, they are truly a favorite of ours. Teals, yellows and blues are really cool shades for those lighter eyed beauties. While, greens, golds and oranges are perfectly paired with brown or hazel eyes. Just because they make it, doesn’t mean it works with your eye color, so be shade savvy when selecting your eye shadows and lip colors. On the other hand, dare to bare your more natural side, with a touch of mascara, blush and slight eyebrow shading. Take a chance and try something new. We are!

Hair is the easy part. Basically the less work you put in to it, the more carefree and cool you will look. A simple pony tail, or even pigtails can be transformed into something simply amazing! High buns are really popular this summer as well, not only for it’s comfort level, but they are uber chic. The height of your bun all depends on your head shape. Use your best judgment when positioning it. If it looks awkward to you, then it definitely looks awkward to everyone else. Confidence is your best asset! So if you feel good, you look good! Low ponytails are another way to beat the heat. A cute side bang, and slight teasing in the crown adds a little glamour to the everyday ponytail. Covering the hair band with a few strands and securing it with a bobby pin helps as well. This Mary Kate style is so easy to accomplish at home. Start by braiding your hair in to pigtails and pin them accordingly around your head the way a crown would. The fishtail, which is one of our favorites this season, is a little harder to explain. Definitely check out some YouTube videos on that, but we promise, once you learn you will never forget. Of course, those blessed women with natural waves have it the easiest in the summer. So for you girls a touch of the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Curling Wand is all you need to take your look from undone to polished and playful. When in doubt, accessorize! A cute flower, or floral headband can be paired with a messy up-do or flowing waves. A good point of reference is channeling your inner goddess. She is in there, we promise! Have fun and be brave this summer.

Kristy Swanson, Amy Yasbeck, Romy Rosemont, and Julie Warner visit for AOL Upfronts!

June 20, 2012 By Adreanna Jones

Upfront started early this year with AOL. We were honored to have the ladies of the upcoming web series Little Women Big Cars, Amy YasbeckKristy SwansonRomy Rosemont, and JulieWarner. Set in New Jersey, Little Women Big Cars centers around four devoted soccer moms struggling to balance their busy schedules, family lives and sanity.

We offered the ladies wardrobe, hair, and makeup for their big night out, and we also visited the ladies the following morning for a promotional brunch they were attending. They were all alot of fun, and so candid, it really felt like we were hosting a fun, girly sleepover.

While some of the girls tried on dresses from our various featured collections Kristy Swanson sat down with me to get her hair and makeup done. She wanted a very classic look since the dress she was wearing was a little on the glam side. We agreed on a slightly polished chignon, which complimented the look perfectly.

We educated Kristy on the values of a good skincare regimenand introduced her to our DDF skincare that she immediately fell in love with. We started her with our DDF Aloe Toning Complex, Amplifying Elixir and the Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer. Once she was fully prepped we moved on to her makeup, for which she requested a smoky eye and a glossylip. Kristy looked beautiful asalways.

For Kristy’s brunch look we wanted something a bit playful so we did a really bouncy blowout with our Babyliss Pro Blow Dryer andpinned her hair into two cute buns, one on each side, paired with an appropriate clean day look for her makeup. She looked so cute!

All of the girls took home a goodie bag filled with a DDF Sulfur Mask, an ULTA makeup bag with a few ULTA products inside, a cute Ready-To-Go Caboodle and a mini set of Babyliss Pro Hot Rollers. They were very happy and we are looking forward to watching the new show. It’s supposed to be really funny!

Jac ‘n’ Swallow

Jac ‘n’ Swallow

Emily Swallow and Jaclyn Huberman were the leading ladies of the unconventional expression of emotion, that is, Jac ‘n’ Swallow. I was lucky to catch the Friday show, and was amazed at what these two ladies accomplished in such a short time. I experienced their life of ups, downs, and just plain weirdness through song and a ton of comedy. The show was priceless, and sorry to you if you missed it.

I was honored to help the stars of the show get ready for both of their big nights. The two starlets came to the studio for hair and makeup before the event.

Jac was up first and was wearing a black fitted knee length dress that we thought would be complimented best by a sassy down do. We styled her hair using Salon Grafix hair products and then curled her hair with our Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Blow Dryer. For her makeup we gave her a super smoky eye using our newest eye shadow palette Lid Monochromatic by POP Beauty.  Jac had yet to have the DDF experience so we made sure to send her home with essentials, the Revolve, Amplifying Elixir, Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer, and the Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew. She was overjoyed and very thankful!

For Emily we wanted her look to read a little playful since she was wearing this adorable glitzed romper. We started by making sure her hair style would last by applying Salon Grafix Mousse and then giving her some cute curls using our Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium 1½ inch Curling Iron, and then softly swept a few front pieces off of her face. We wanted the pair to be a little cohesive so we gave Emily an equally smoky eye in the eggplant family with POP Beauty eyeshadow pallet in Lid Amethyst.

The ladies were ready to sing! We had a blast and I hope to work with these two comedians again in the near future.
